CBSE announced class 10th and 12th to be divided into 2terms with approx 50% syllabus in each  term. Syllabus for board examination 2021-22 will be rationalized similar to that of least academic session to be notified in july 2021.

The syllabus for the academic session 2021-22 will be divided into two terms by following a systematic approach by looking into the inter connectivity of  concepts and topics.

Efforts will be made to make internal assessment/pratical/project/project work more crediable and valid as per the guidelines and moderation policy to be declared by the board to ensure  fair distribution of marks.

The board issued the detailed guidelines for the pandemic hit academic session on Monday. However, this rule, according to a senior CBSE official,  will continue as the board's new assesment system.

For the current year, the first term objective examination will be held in November-December 2021, while the second term examination with subjective questions will take place in March-April 2022.

"When the situation becomes normal, the board will conduct term1 examination in October- November and term 2 in the February- march and the full syllabus, " said board.

Term 1 exams will be held in November- December 2021, in multiple choice questions(MCQ) format covering only the first half of the rationalized syllabus.

Term 2 exams will be held in March-april 2022 in subjective format at exam centres fix by the board. Incase the situation is not conductive for normal subjective examination can be converted into the form of 90 minute MCQ papers.
